ITEM BACKGROUND: On October 31,2001, the contract with Sub-Zero, Inc. for the Preventative Maintenance service agreement will expire. In accordance with Article 3.11 of the original Agreement dated October 13, 1999, the County exercises its final option to renew for an additional one-year period. PREVIOUS REVELANT BOCC ACTION: On November 17,1999, the BOCC granted approval of a contract agreement with Sub-Zero, Inc. for the preventative maintenance service for the kitchen refrigeration equipment located at the Monroe County Detention Center, and on July 26, 2000, the BOCC granted approval to renew the contract for the first of two options to renew for an additional one-year period. CONTRACT/AGREEMENT CHANGES: Renew contract for an additional one-year period commencing on .November 1, 2001, and adjust the contract agreement amount by the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-V) for the most recent 12 months available (3.2%). Pursuant to Article 3.15 (1) as amended, the contract amount is as follows: A. Preventive Maintenance Services per year $1.663.04, to be paid $415.76 per quarter. B. Repairs (routine, prior approval required) - hourly rate for work not within the scope of preventive maintenance - normal working hours of 8AM to 5PM Monday through Friday, excluding holidays - Mechanic $53.30 per hour, Mechanic with helper $69.30 per hour. C. Emergency service call - Overtime hourly rate for work not within the scope of preventive maintenance other than normal working hours as stated above, including holidays $79.96 per hour. D. Handling fee for supplies and replacement parts required for maintenance, repairs, and emergency service. Manufacturer's invoice plus 36% (thirty-six percent). 3.
