ITEM BACKGROUND: After Hurricane Georges, an assessment of our storm sewer system was made and it was determined that the system needed to be cleaned. Partial funding was received from FEMA and gas tax revenue will pay for the rest. During work, additional underground pipe and catch basins were discovered that also needed to be cleaned. PREVIOUS REVELANT BOCC ACTION: On November 21,2000, the BOCC approved a contract with Synagro Southeast, Inc. to clean the storm sewers in the amount of $230,313.23. CONTRACT/AGREEMENT CHANGES: Add pipe and catch basins to be cleaned.
