At the June 21, 2001, Board of County Commissioner's meeting the Board granted
approval and authorized execution of the following: .
/
Addendum to Agreement between Monroe County and Islamorada, Village of Islands to
extend the Anne's Beach, Library Beach, and the Hurricane Monument maintenance funding
through to September 30,2005.
Addendum to Agreement between Monroe County and Monroe Council of the Arts
Corporation for a Community Outreach Coordinator.
Five (5) year Interlocal Agreement for Grant of Funds between Monroe County and City
of Marathon for Sombrero Beach in an amount not to exceed $78,501, Third Penny, Capital
Project funding for the year ending September 30,2001 and an amount to be established within
the TDC budget and approved by the County through the budgetary process for the remaining
years.

ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT
THIS Addendum To Agreement dated the 2d.t!day of J U {'Ie- , 2001, is
entered into by and between the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR MONROE
COUNTY (hereinafter "County"), on behalf of the TOURIST DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL
(hereinafter "TDC"), and THE ISLAMORADA VILLAGE OF ISLANDS (hereinafter "Village").
WHEREAS, the County has, upon recommendation of the TDC and District IV
Advisory Committee, allocated tourist development revenues to finance the maintenance of
Anne's Beach, Library Beach, and the Hurricane Monument Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, the Village has the ability to act as manager for Anne's Beach, Library
Beach and the Hurricane Monument; and
WHEREAS, the County and Village have determined that it is in the best interests of
the public to enter into this agreement;
WHEREAS, there was a contract entered into on September 21,2000 between the
parties to obtain maintenance services for Anne's Beach, Library Beach, and the Hurricane
Monument, and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to enter into an agreement which facilitates continuity in
maintaining Anne's Beach, Library Beach, and the Hurricane Monument, and
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, the
parties agree to hereby amend the agreement entered into on September 21,2000 as
follows:
1. Paragraph I. Contract period, shall read, this agreement is for the period
October 1, 2000 through September 30, 2005, unless one party gives to the
other written notification of termination pursuant to and in compliance with
paragraphs 7,13 and 14 of original agreement.
2. Paragraph 3, Amount of Agreement and Payment, shall read, the County shall
provide an amount not to exceed $34,200 for reimbursement for materials and
services used to maintain Anne's Beach, Library Beach and Hurricane
Monument for the year ending September 30, 2001. For each of the remaining
years under this agreement, County shall pay from tourist development tax
funds such amounts as are established within the TDC budget approved by the
County prior to each fiscal year. The Board of County Commissioners and the
Tourist Development Council assume no liability to fund this agreement for an
amount in excess of this award. Payment shall be made through
reimbursement to Islamorada Village of Islands upon presentation of invoices,
canceled checks and certified statements of completed services to support a
claim for reimbursement. Monroe County's performance and obligation to pay
under this contract is contingent upon an annual appropriation by the BOCe.
3. The remaining provisions of the contract dated September 21,2000 shall
remain in full force and effect.
