Last year the BOCC, on a unanimous vote, approved an increase of $40,000 to
accommodate increased expense cost to the Guidance Clinic of the Middle Keys as CTC
and provider of services for Transportation Disadvantaged program. However, due to an
oversight by the GCMK it failed to be added to the budget - the GCMK is humbly

Honorable George Neugent
Mayor Monroe County
25 Ships Way
Big Pine Key, FL 33043
Dear Mayor Neugent:
I am writing to request the assistance of the Monroe County Board of County
Commissioners to correct an error that was made by our staff while developing our
county budget request.
In November of last year, the Commission increased their participation in the
Transportation Disadvantaged program by the sum of $40,000. While preparing this
year's budget the $40,000 contract amendment that was signed in January 2001 was
not noted and consequently not included in this year's total.
I would like to request that this item be added to the BOCC Agenda on November 21st
for discussion and resolution.
Thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,
