ITEM BACKGROUND: Roadwork in the Upper Keys had been postponed because of the upcoming sewer

UPPER KEYS ROADS NEEDING PAVING
On January 14th, 2002, Joe Medallion and I made a
survey of the roads in Tavernier and Key Largo.
We found many st'reets that have less than 50% of
asphalt still intact. These roads will suffer extreme
damage in rainy weather b:y washing out the base that
the asphalt is applied to.
.
.
As this is not good b.usiness practice, nor does it provide
suitable roads for residents, I would like you to consider
having the following roads paved as soon as possible:
TAVERNIER
Ellis Road
Indian Avenue
Arctic Avenue
Harry Harris
Cuba Road
Hispanola Road
West Indies Road

There is also one road that goes under salt water every time there
is a strong west wind. It is a short section of Boyd Drive between
Santa Anita and Garden State Lanes. This section is 12" - 18" low
and needs to be raised. This road is the only means of entry and
egress and has been a long existing problem to the residents of this
neighborhood.
Your attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.
