AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval for the transfer of one buildable lot from Jeffrey D. Shimer and Denise M.
Kahler to Monroe County by Warranty Deed.
ITEM BACKGROUND: On December 12,2001 the Planning Commission approved an allocation award for the
applicants listed below provided the applicants' Warranty Deed is approved by the BOCC. Jeffrey D. Shimer and
Denise M. Kahler submitted the Warranty Deed to donate one lot to Monroe County. The applicants are receiving a
dwelling unit allocation award for the year ending July 13, 2002, have filed the document in accordance with
Ordinance No. 47-1999.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOARD ACTION: On November] 1, 1999, the BOCC adopted Ordinance No. 047-
]999.

JEFFREY D. SHIMER, a single man over the age of eighteen (18) years, of 3228 Eagle Avenue,
of the City of Key West, the County of Monroe, in the State of Florida and DENISE M. KAHLER,
a single woman over the age of eighteen (18) years, of3228 Eagle Avenue, of the City of Key West,
the County of Monroe, in the State of Florida, parties of the first part, and THE COUNTY OF
MONROE, of500 Whitehead Street, c/o Board of County Commissioners, of the City of Key West,
the County of Monroe, in the State of Florida, party of the second part,
WITNESSEm, that the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of
Ten Dollars ($10.00) and other good and valuable consideration, to them in hand paid by the said
party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and
sold to the said party of the second part its heirs and assigns forever, the following described land,
situate lying and being in the County of Monroe, State of Florida, to wit:

of the State of Florida in that neither Grantor(s) nor any members of the household

the first part had good right and lawful authority to sell and convey said land; that the said parties of

claims of all persons whomsoever; and that said land is free of all encumbrances except taxes accruing
subsequent to date of transfer.
