The meeting was called to order at 10:08 a.m. 2. The calling of the roll indcated the presence of a quorum. 3. Director of Social Services, Louis LaTprre, discussed the Co~nty's move to the "old Gatto" building on Simontori~treet in Key West. He indicated that there would be some surplus computer\equipment that would be put up for bid, in the Public Service Building, as a result of the move. r~ Commissioner Neugent said that he would attempt to provide us with a ~ list of the equipment. The Commissioner warned that there would be an impact and tax implications on the County budget due to the large cuts in the State budget. He advises that the call for cuts in the County buqget now are ill advised. In short order it would have to be raised again, :'due if to shrinkage in the County's income. Commissioner Neugent has been thinking of requesting funding to provide computer training classes at the Senior Centers. He believes an initial endowment of $10,000 would provide funding for the necessary computer equipment.TheCommissioner will get together with the AARP board from the Big Pine Key Senior Cen ter, and their techies, to discuss the ramifications of the proposal. lOne representatives from the other AARP/Senior Centers will be invited. Uob Thrasher will represent the Upper Keys AARP/Senior Center. 5.
