ITEM BACKGROUND: The County recently leased space located at 111 Overseas Hwy, Rockland Key for the temporary location of the Monroe County Fleet department as they will need to vacate the current location at the Key West International Airport by September 1, 2021. The attached Task Order from William P. Horn, Architects is for Professional Architectural and Engineering Services for the build out of office space and bathrooms for the relocation of the Monroe County Fleet Department. All terms and conditions of the Agreement apply to this Task Order, unless this Task Order amends, adds, or modifies a provision or an Article of the Agreement of which will be specifically referenced in this Task Order and the amendment, addition, or modification shall be precisely described. This Task Order is effective on the 191h Day of May 2021. WHEREAS,the Monroe County Fleet Garage and Offices are currently leasing space on property owned by the Key West Airport and must now be moved due to changes in the Key West Airport .� Master Plan; and E WHEREAS,the County has leased a building on Rockland Key until a permanent structure for the Fleet Department can be built on County-owned property; and r, a� WHEREAS, the County desires to contract with the Consultant to provide design through construction administration services for the renovation of the leased building. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants set forth below, the parties agree as follows: 0. 1. In accordance with Article II, SCOPE OF BASIC SERVICES of the Agreement, the Consultant will provide design and support through construction for the renovation of an existing two-story building on Rockland Key. The scope of work shall include but not be Ui limited to the following: • Renovation of the building shell including new garage doors, exit doors, windows, si exhaust fans and other miscellaneous infills to the walls to maintain the fire rating. • Renovation to new office spaces, including 5 office/meeting rooms and 2 restrooms on the first floor and 3 offices on the mezzanine level. • Repair or Replacement of the existing wood stair with possible addition of new stair or possibly installation of elevator or lift. a • New electrical power and lighting, air conditioning for office/meeting rooms and restroom spaces. Schematic Design - $8,790.00 upon document review and approval by the Director of Project Management b.
