Angela Michal
Veterans Services Counselor
Veterans Affairs Plantation Key
Ms. Michal has the honor of being the longest tenured employee in the
Veterans Affairs Department. Ms. Michal began her tenure with the Monroe
County Veterans Affairs Department on April 13, 1987 as a Veterans Affairs
Service Aide working four hours a day. Due to her work load tripling within
one year her position was upgraded to her current title of Veterans
Services Counselor. Her hours were raised to six hours a day, and currently
is working fuLL time.
Ms. Michal has been trained at the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs
in St. Petersburg and has served to be a tremendous asset to our
department. She deals with the Veterans of our upper keys community in a
professional manner which far exceeds the job requirements for her
position.
Ms. Angela Michal possess and continually exercises concern, compassion
and renders that degree of professional expertise which is critical in her
position. Her dedication and reputation within the upper keys veteran
community is a definite attribute to Monroe County government. Kudos to
Angela for fifteen years of dedication to the Veterans Affairs Department
and Monroe County.
