ITEM BACKGROUND:
Although this is clearly an admirable proposal, how far are we going to traverse this
slippery slope of doing what clearly are State and Federal responsibilities. Is the County
going to assume the role of primary health care?

Based on the above, it is my opinion that con~~ion of Commissioner Williams' office space to
a dental suite for Rural Health Network will add $85,000 to the project cost.

The foundations were determined to be hollow and grouting was added,
including removal of the concrete floor slab and patching if needed
by the contractor. The documents require this work without
change orders to the owner.

Based on the above, it is my opinion that the probable construction cost for the project as
designed will be $3,350,000. If the dental office is added, total probably construction cost will
be $3,435,000.
In providing estimates to our clients, we attempt to estimate in the mid range of anticipated bids.
Therefore, bids could vary substantially from this estimate and may be higher or lower.
