Approval to prohibit cellphone use by the members of the Monroe County Board of County
Commissioners while the commission meeting is in progress with the exception of any announced
breaks.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
BOCC standard practice is to request all residents to turn their cellphones off once the Commission
meeting is in session. Commissioners have staff, who can screen any emergencies and relay same if
needed.
