AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY
Meeting Date:
August 21, 2002
Division:
County Attorney
AGENDA ITEM WORDING:
Request approval of Amendment to Special Service Arrangement Agreement with BellSouth for
maintenance and service of the 911 system.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
Agreements were entered into for the acquisition and financing of 911 equipment and a
separate agreement was entered Into for the installation and maintenance of said equipment
and associated software. The acquisition and payment agreement was previously amended on
August 16, 2000 providing for the maximum amount of monthly payments for equipment and
services to not exceed $23,593 for the months of June, 1999 through December, 1999 and
$24,357 for the remainder of the 84 month term. That amount applies to the services
arrangement agreement as well as the acquisition of equipment agreement but the Special
Service Arrangement Agreement was not amended at the same time. This amendment is
needed to correct that oversight.
