The only development in the subdivision is along the bayside of Bay Shore Drive, and these are the homeowners asking us to look at this. The Land Authority completed a round of offers in the subdivision last year, and closed on a number of properties, including the large central Tract B. It is mostly low hammock, mangroves, and wetlands. Attached is the strip map for Silver Shores Estates showing locations of proposed closure sites at four locations: 1. Pruitt Drive at its intersection with Johnson Street (Pruitt is a rutted, dirt road) 2. Bachmann Road at its intersection with Johnson Street 3. The dirt trail connecting Bay Shore Drive with Bachmann Road 4. Pruitt Drive just south of its intersection with Bay Shore Drive (so people can get to the swimming hole, but can't access Pruitt south of Bay Shore.) The proposed blockages would discourage people with truck loads of solid waste because they would be very obvious to residents along the paved road. There is also a dirt track leading east from Bay Shore Drive as if it were an extension out into the adjoining wetlands. I don't know if it would be advisable to block this as well because the land around it is similarly open and low, arul a vehicle could go off the road almost anywhere when it is dry.
