Confirmation by the Board of County Commissioners of the appointment of Fire Chief Clark Martin to
be Monroe County Fire Marshal.
I YEM HAUKUROUND:
Recently, the County Fire Marshal retired and it has become necessary to consider a replacement. An
analysis of the workload and costs indicates that by adjusting the flow of work and providing additional
administrative support, Chief Martin is able to take over the role of Fire Marshal and the staff will be
able to continue with the current and expanded duties. By Code, Chief Martin may be appointed to
Fire Marshal and is in the process of receiving all appropriate certifications to fulfill all of his many
functions in Monroe County. To assist with the duties, an Administrative Assistant position will
provide support.
