AGENDA ITEM WORDING
Request approval to advertise an ordinance amending Sec. 6-56(19) by the addition of a
subclassification Landscaping curb contractor.
ITEM BACKGROUND
The work involved in laying non-structural decorative curbing for landscaping does not fall
within the definition of any existing classification. This is a relatively new process which
heretofore masonry contractors could perform, but the level of technical knowledge needed
for the work is not as great as is needed for work which one can perform with a masonry or
landscaping contractor license although a masonry contractor could also perform this work.
