AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to grant a 10 foot utility easement to the City of Key West through a small section
of the Key west Intemational Airport (KWIA) property.
ITEM BACKGROUND: As per the attached documentation, a request has been made to grant an easement to the city of
Key West to tie into their sewer lift station on our property. This is consistent with the agreement that we made with them
ten years ago when they brought sewer service here to the airport. At that time we agreed to allow sewer easements to
tie into the existing system to expand it along South Roosevelt Blvd. when necessary.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION. None. This is the first easement requested.

Dear Mr. Horton
Perez Engingeering & Development, Inc. (PE&D) on behalf of the City oCKey West
requests a tcn ( 10) toot casement through a small section of the Key West International
Airport (K WIA) property. The easement is required for a force main, which will originate
from a property located on the Bridle Path. The force main will connect to an existing
gravity sewer lateral located behiIld the Tax Collectors Office. The existing lateral is
connected to a sanitary sewer system which feeds a City of Key West lift station located
on the KWIA property.
Sheet C-I (Force Main Plan) shows the proposed route and connection point for the
proposed force main. A draft legal description is also included as Sheet C-2 (Legal
Description). The legal description shall be certified by a professional surveyor, when the
proposed easement is approved. If you have any questions or need additional information,
please call me.
