application to the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) and
affirming the County's ability to provide local match funding in this
program designed to help communities implement measures to reduce or
eliminate long -term risk to people and property from natural hazards and
their effects. HMGP grants provide 75% funding with Monroe County
providing 25% matching funds.
