Keys Youth Crime Intervention, also called ArtWorks, is a partnership with the 16th
Judicial Juvenile Drug Court, the Sheriff's Dept. and the Florida Keys Council of the
Arts. Running for three years now, the program assists adjudicated teens to build drug-
free and crime-free behaviors through participation in specific, planned, arts-based
activities. The court administrator and policy analyst judge it highly successful.
Keys Elder Services is a partnership with the Monroe County Nutrition Services, the Key
West Museum of Art & History and FKCA. It brings music, story-telling and visual arts
to seniors who participate in the county nutrition program and those who live in the
convalescent centers.
Past funding has been secured by the Arts Council through the Division of Cultural
Affairs, the Sheriff and private donations.
