Mr. Nelson's fIrst trip to the Florida Keys was in 1972; and he became a full-time
resident in 1988. Originally lived in Islamorada, now resides in Tavernier. He retired in
1993. He attends Island Community Church.
Mr. Nelson is 73 years of age and has six children. nine grandchildren, and as of
2002, four great-grandchildren.
