Monroe County supports the efforts of the Florida Department of Environmental Regulations, Office of Greenwavs and Trails COOT) to provide for improved facilities on, and adjacent to Keys historic bridges for fishing as well as pedestrian and bicyde use; and Section 2. Monroe County promotes those measures designed to reduce conflicts between user groups via the development of bike lanes, fishing pla1fonTlS, and associated signagei and Section 3. Monroe County supports polides and regulations that prohibit not only camping on bridges, but also the use of tents or other structures which would interfere with the use of bike paths; and Section 4. Monroe County promotes the development Of rest rooms and other facilities adjacent to the more heavily used bridges to provide for sanitary and basic amenity needs of Overseas Heritage Trail users; and Section 5. Monroe COunty will continue to cooperate in the development of the Overseas Heritage Trail and may provide future funding assistance to reach said goals.
