Award Citation
January 19, 2005
The Florida Keys Council For People With Disabilities is pleased to present its Award for
outstanding service to disabled persons in Monroe County to Jim Malloch.
This award recogmzes his steady leadership in his positions as BOCC Liaison and
Treasurer of this Council from 1997 to present and Director of the Monroe County
Division of Community Services from 1991 to present. His contributions have been
instrumental in making this Council and the Community Services Division he leads
effective tools in the service of disabled persons. We especially commend him for the
development of a County wide accessible transportation system. Himself a disabled
veteran and retired US Navy officer, Mr. Malloch has dedicated his life to the service to
others. By his compassion, kindness, and determined efforts on behalf of others, he has
been instrumental in assistance to many needy segments of our community. Through his
actions and under his leadership the lives of over seventeen thousand disabled citizens of
Monroe County have been materially improved.
On behalf of the disabled citizens of the Florida Keys this plaque is presented to Jim
Malloch with sincere gratitude for his steadfast leadership and dedicated service.
