SIXTH AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
FOR THE DESIGN THROUGH CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION
OF A NEW PUBLIC LIBRARY IN MARATHON, MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA
This Sixth Amendment ("Amendment") to the Agreement for Professional Services for the
design through construction administration of a new public library in Marathon, Monroe County,
Florida, dated October 21, 2015 ("Agreement"), made and entered into this 18th day of August, 2021,
by and between Monroe County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida, hereafter referred to as
"County", and Synalovski Romanik Saye, LLC, ("SRS"), a Limited Liability Company, organized and
existing in the State of Florida, hereafter referred to as "Consultant".
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, on October 21,2015,the parties entered into the Agreement for professional design
services for the Marathon Library project, and
WHEREAS, a First Amendment to the Agreement was entered into on December 19, 2016, to
include additional services for a solar feasibility study as required by Resolution of the Climate Change
Advisory Committee, and to revise Public Records compliance language in accordance with Chapter
119, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, a Second Amendment to the Agreement was entered into on April 20, 2017, to
include additional services for re-design of library areas to include a floorplan revision that has been
requested by staff, and
WHEREAS,a Third Amendment to the Agreement was entered into on June 29,2017,to include
alternate plans for separate roof top solar systems; and
WHEREAS, a Fourth Amendment to the Agreement was entered into on June 20, 2018, to
provide design revisions to the first and second floor plan to accommodate a more open floor plan
providing the ability to reconfigure the layout of the library space,reposition the children's library to the
second floor, reposition the adult section to the first floor, enclose the covered terraces, update the
building elevations, and provide a 6"raised access floor on both floors of the facility including the adult
education area; and
WHEREAS, a Fifth Amendment to the Agreement was entered into on August 21, 2019, which
provided additional services for the survey datum corrections including major revisions to paving,
grading,and drainage plans,stormwater management calculations,permit modifications and landscaping
and irrigation plans; and

WHEREAS, the construction of the Marathon Library took longer than anticipated requiring
additional construction administration services by the Consultant including additional scopes of work
requiring the use of subconsultants by the Consultant.
NOW THEREFORE,in consideration of the mutual promises contained herein,the County and
Consultant agree to amend the agreement as set forth below:
I. In accordance with the Agreement Article III, Paragraph 3.2, Consultant shall provide
additional construction administration services through the end of the project and additional
services by subconsultants for miscellaneous changes to the construction plans through final
closeout of the project.
2. In accordance with the Agreement Article VII, Paragraph 7.1.1, the County shall pay the
Consultant monthly in current funds for a percent complete of the Consultants performance
for a total lump sum fee of Thirty-Eight Thousand One-Hundred Twenty-Nine Dollars and
29/100($38,129.29).
3. In all other respects, the original Agreement as amended,remains unchanged.
