PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: The Board approved the 2004-05 budget appropriating
funds for the continuation of vehicle capital replacement.

requirements which are included and made a part of this contract's vehicle base price as awarded
by manufacturer by specification by zone.

unit only. The Florida Fire Chiefs' Association, Florida Sheriffs Association and Florida Association
of Counties have identified and equipped the base unit with those specifications and equipment
items required to meet KKK-A-1822E, or the most current revision for Type I Ambulance. Since
equipment needs and preferences are going to vary from agency to agency - any additional options
required or changes to the base unit desired by the purchaser shall be made through the manu-
facturer listed.
NOTE: An official listing of all add/delete options and their prices should be obtained from the
appropriate vendor.

American LaFrance MedicMaster offers Monroe County the opportunity
to "Piggy-Back" the Florida Fire Chiefs Association, Florida Sheriffs
Association, and Florida Association Of Counties Bid # (04-05-0824) for a
Sterling Specification # 02 Type 1 4X2 Medium Duty ambulance.
The cost of an Emergency Medical Vehicle that meets the requirements
of Monroe County is $ 150,449.65 per vehicle. The chassis in this proposal is
a Sterling M-6500 Acterra Two Door. Sterling is a division of Freightliner
Corporation. A detailed description that describes the emergency
medical unit is included.
