ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF, AS RECORDED IN PLAT
BOOK 4, PAGE 41 OF THE PUBI.JC RECORDS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA. (KEY I,ARGO)
V{HEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, desires to
renounce and disclaim any right of the County and the public in and to the hereinafter described
streets, alley-ways, roads or highways, and
WHEREAS, due notice has been published and a public hearing has been held 10
accordance with Chapter 336, Florida Statutes, and
\VHEREAS, at said public hearing the Board considered the argument of all parties
present wishing to speak on the matter, and all premises considered concerning the renouncing
and disclaiming of any right of the County and the public in and to the hereinafter described
streets, alley-ways. roads or highways as delineated on the hereinafter described map or plat, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that vacation of the said road is for the general
public welfare, and conforms to the requirement of Fla. Stat. Secs_ 336.09 and 336,10: now,

Koppel, shortening the proposed road abandonment to a distance of 36.5 fest. Further, arrJ

abandonnlcnt for a p0l1ion of Bonita Lane in Key Largo.
Staff visited the site to be abandoned and found that the right of way does
not end at the shore! ine and based on that site visit, our department has no
objection ro this request.

On 12/8/03, I visited the site and observed that the proposed
area to be abandoned is already occupied and developed by the
property owner. Based on this fact, I don't think the Planning Dept
has any objecti ons to the abandon ment.
The right ot way does not end at the shore line.
