He attended and completed the first Monroe County Fire Academy and received his state firefighter certification in August 1999, and was soon after promoted to Firefighter Paramedic. Firefighter Webb is proud of his profession, and cares a great deal for his patients and the public he serves. He has worked to improve his knowledge and skills, especially in the field of advanced emergency medical care. Firefighter Webb is certified in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Trauma Life Support, Advanced Airway Management of Critical Patients, and Emergency Response to Terrorism. He is also a certified air crewmember. Firefighter Webb is a dedicated employee and always strives to make each customer contact as pleasant as possible. He has spent the majority of his career with Monroe County stationed in the lower keys, and for the past several years, he has been assigned to Station 9, Big Coppitt. He knows the area and citizens well, and maintains a close, friendly connection with many of them. This helps to reduce their anxiety and allay their fears during a variety of emergency situations. Firefighter Webb has been and continues to be a valuable asset to Monroe County Fire Rescue and his community. We are proud to honor him with this length of service award.
