Willi AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Authorization to the County Administrator to provide, on a limited basis, exterior property debris removal services because of Hurricane Wilma to Special Needs Clients, the handicapped and other residents of unincorporated Monroe County as may qualify. ITEM BACKGROUND: Delay in the removal of hurricane debris can result in a significant public health hazard. Some aspects of the county population do not have a means to have this debris removed. The County would utilize our debris contractor, DRC Inc. to perform this service and bill the county. The County will seek reimbursement from FEMA for the expenses. The probability of reimbursement by FEMA is not known at this time. PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: CONTRACT/AGREEMENT CHANGES: DRC will be issued a separate task order for this scope of work.
