ITEM BACKGROUND: Due to the nature and extent of Hurricane Wilma repairs needed at the Sheriffs Administration Building on Stock Island, approximately twenty (20) employees were relocated to temporary trailers, located on site for approximately six (6) months. Two other vendors were contacted, GE and MBSI, but GE was non-responsive and MBSI could not supply the units in a timely manner. The County will seek reimbursement from FEMA/State for 87.5% of the cost of the units. PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: None. CONTRACT/AGREEMENT CHANGES: nJa STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approval. () BOB STONEf MIDDLE KEY OPERATiONS DIRECTOR 1/7 Meso ADMINISTRATION BUILDING As has been discussed, water intrusion at the Monroe County Sheriff's Administration Building has prompted the need for remediation throughout the facility. Therefore, it is desirable to provide office space for some employees outside of th~ facility, yet within close proximity due to wirekss computer requirements, until the remediation process is completed. Attached is a proposal frQm Williams Scotsman for a. six-month lease of a 60 X 24 modular office. Two of these umts ar~ nccde<J,. This is the only proposal that I have been able to obt.ain to date. Am awaiting GE and MBSJ to submit a proposal a.nd Pac=Van will not have availabk slmi1m- Unit.s until February. Williams Scotsman has two of these ~nits available for delivery next week. Due to time being Qr the essence, it is requested that approval be provided to issue a Purchase Qrder @,~ soon as possible t'o- Willi~ms Scotsman for t.he delivery of these two modular units. After revkwing the cost breakdown of the proposal, the costs appear to be reasonable, Your positive con~ider~tion of this matter will be appreciated.
