Brief sumM as to our qualifications to serve on this committee:
I believe I am a uniquely qualified candidate for the Monroe County Tourism Development.Council DAC IV because I have
worked on both sides of the tourism industry. I previously worked as the Membership Coordinator for the Islamorada Chamber of
Commerce, where I was able to experience the business side of tourism in our Islamorada community and see firsthand how
Destination Event Funding is used to enhance tourism and benefit local organizations and community.
s Executive Director of Florida Bay Forever, my work is focused on ecosystem restoration and making the economic argument
for the protection and preservation of our environment with stakeholders and elected officials. I have an acute awareness of the
interconnectness between the health of our waters and the health of our economy and communicate that relationship to improve
economy and environment in my day-to-day work. I believe this is exactly the type of qualification that would enhance this
committee.

0.
I hope to help this committee better communicate the positive, tangible impact that the TDC has for local nonprofits, <
communities, and environment. I believe that it is critical that this committee has representation from the environmental CD
C
community to inform sustainable decisionmaking and to improve public perception of the TDC within the local community. It is
imperative that the environment is front and center for the future of the TDC and our robust tourism driven economy, and believe
that I am qualified to initiate and inform those conversations on a committee level.
