RESOLUTION NO. 224-1997
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, IN RECOGNITION OF THE LATE JUDD POLK GRIZZLE, JR
WHEREAS, Judd Polk Grizzle, Jr" has passed away at the age of 69; and
WHEREAS, Mr, Grizzle was owner and operator of Judd's Stop 'N Shop, a well-known local
establishment for the past forty-seven years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Grizzle served as a City Commissioner in Key West from 1969 until 1973 due to his
desire to give something back to his community; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Grizzle was an avid follower and supporter of local youth and high school sports;
WHEREAS, Mr, Grizzle, was a loved and respected member of the Key West community and will
be missed by his family, friends, and residents of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners wishes to recognize the late Ralph Arnold, Sr, for
his public service and dedication to the community; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA that
Section 1.
The Board hereby adopts this Resolution as evidence of its regret and mourning
for the passing of the late Judd Polk Grizzle, Jr., and in recognition of his extensive dedication and vast
public service to the people of Key West and Monroe County, Florida.
The Board hereby requests the Clerk to forward copies of this Resolution to Mr.
Section 2.
Grizzle's widow, Coralie Grizzle, to express the Board's sorrow,
