SUBJECT: Release of Contingency funds
Attached is proposed Release of Contingency Funds #3I for the Plantation Ivey Courthouse& Detention
Center project. This does not affect the contract price but releases contingency finds already included
in the Guaranteed Maximum Price for work that was either not foreseen or for which a price could not
be determined at the time of contract execution.
The amount requested is $11,185.00. The attached Release of Owner Contingency Request provides the
details. This is being provided to ensue the BOCC is aware of this change. Please contact me with any
questions. If there are none with the normal 24-hour window, I will approve the request.

Basis for Recommended Action:
1. The requested release does not increase the total cost of the project as approved by the
BCC.
. The scope for which the release is requested is within the intended project scope.
. The release is not based upon an error or ornission by the designer or the general
contractor.

Please approve the inclusion of a USPS mailbox and a 4-door BOCC Courier Box. The original
design of the courthouse included a dedicated mailroom, however, the mailroom was converted
into office space during the course of the project.
