SUBJECT: Release of Contingency funds
Attached is proposed Release of Contingency Funds #33 for the Plantation Key Courthouse & Detention
Center project. This does not affect the contract price but releases contingency funds already included
in the Guaranteed Maximum Price for work that was either not foreseen or for which a price could not
be determined at the time of contract execution.
The amount requested is $11,976.38. The attached Release of Owner Contingency Request provides the
details. This is being provided to ensure the BOCC is aware of this change. Please contact me with any
questions. If there are none with the normal 24-hour window, I will approve the request.

Basisi
1. The requested release does not increase the total cost of the project as approved by the
CC.
. The scope for which the release is requested is within the intended project scope.
. The release is not based upon an error or omission by the designer or the general
contractor.
Background.
It is recommended we provide funding from contingency for this PCA to include the following
changes:
Extension of the projects builder's risk insurance until January 31, 2022 for the cost of$600.
- Addition of 16 new data drops, 1 Coax drop for television service, and relocation of the data drops
in roof 10 and 1 . The cost of these changes i $536.33.
