AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to appoint Beth Ramsay-Vickrey as the District 4
representative to the Library Advisory Board. This is a new four-year full term appointment to fill a
vacancy.
ITEM BACKGROUND: Beth Ramsay-Vickrey has many years of public service in various
organizations during her past sixteen years of residence in the Keys. She has served as a County
Planning Commissioner for a term, also six years on the Keys Energy Advisory Board. She was a
founder and 3-term board member of the No Name Key Property Owners Association. She has been
a legislative liaison to the American Kennel Club, and has volunteered for 10 years with the Florida
Keys SPCA Marathon campus. She worked in Industrial Real Estate until her retirement in 2006.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: BOCC previously appointed Sally Cherry March 21,
2018.

Beth Ramsay-Vickrey grew up in Marathon. She worked in Industrial Real Estate until she LN
retired in 2006 and moved back to the Keys. Beth has been a full-time Monroe County resident 0
for the past 16 years. ->

Beth has been an active part of her community as a founder and 3-time board member of the No
Name Key Property Owners Association. She has also served 6 years on the Keys Energy .2
Advisory Board, and 4 years as the District 2 Planning Commissioner. Beth briefly served on
the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce Board before resigning due to family health
issues. Beth's community involvement also includes extensive work in animal health, welfare,
and rescue as a past legislative liaison to the AKC, and 10 years as a volunteer for the FKSPCA
Marathon campus. E
Recently Beth moved from the Lower Keys, and now resides full-time in Key Colony Beach.
