(TSF) is pleased to submit this proposal for the above - referenced project. The proposal is based on e-mail from Jacobs dated July 11, 2012 and follow up discussions. PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK All work performed by TSF will be in general accordance with Advisory Circular AC 150I5320- 6D. Geotechnical Investigation Services will include two (2) asphalt cores with Standard Penetration Test (SPT) borings to a depth of 3 feet, and four (4) asphalt cores. The cores and borings will be performed at the approximate locations provided or approved by Jacobs; The following laboratory testing will be performed on selected samples: Moisture Content test (ASTM D2216) — 1 test Grain size analysis (ASTM D422) ._ 1 test Organic Content tests (AASHTO T-194) _ 1 test Borings and test locations will be located in the field by Jacobs. It is our understanding that elevations at boring locations will also be provided by Jacobs. We have included Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) in our estimate to clear utilities at the boring locations. It is important to note that while the use of GPR will minimize the potential of striking utilities, it is not a 100% accurate. Therefore, private utilities will be the owner's/Airport's responsibility. We believe that significant coordination will likely be required to perform the field operations.
