AGENDA ITEM WORDING: A public hearing for an ordinance amending Section 18-64 of the

ITEM BACKGROUND: The County consolidated the Engineering and Public Works divisions into
a single division. This amendment is to correct the title of the division Which is the funding source for
the Board of Parks and Recreation.

nucaucang system of the Code.
Section 5. This ordinanceshall take effect ' 'ately upon receipt of
official notice from the Office of the Secretary of State of the State of Florida that this
ordinance has been filed with said Office.

ADOPTION OF COUNTY ORDINANCE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN that on February 15, 2012 at
3:00 P.M., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, at the Murray E. Nelson Government Center,
102050 Overseas Highway, Mile Marker 102, Ivey Largo, Monroe County, Florida, the Board of
County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, intends to consider the adoption of the following
County ordinance:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA
AMENDING SECTION 15-64, MONROE COUNTY CODE,
AMENDING THE FUNDING AND SERVICE SOURCE FOR THE
BOARD OF PARKS AND RECREATION, PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL
ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION INTO THE MONROE COUNTY CODE OF
ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

decision made by the Board with respect to any matter considered at such hearings or meetings, he will
need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he may need to ensure that a verbatim
