The Land Authority has received one such bill for a conservation property and staff expects there will be more in the future. (1)The monthly billing charges of the Authority consist of the Base Facility Charge, Consumption Charge and Wastewater Flow Charges where service is provided. Ð´»¿» ´»¬ ³» µ²±© ·º ©» ½¿² °®±ª·¼» ¿¼¼·¬·±²¿´ ·²º±®³¿¬·±²ò × ³¿§ ¾» ®»¿½¸»¼ ¿¬ íðëòîçëòîîëð ±® §¾±²¿½¸»¿àºµ¿¿ò½±³ò RESOLUTION NO. ________ A RESOLUTION OF THE MONROE COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN LAND AUTHORITY AUTHORIZING STAFF TO REQUEST THE FLORIDA KEYS AQUEDUCT AUTHORITY TO REMOVE THE WATER METERS AND ABANDON THE TAPS ON PROPERTIES ACQUIRED FOR PURPOSES OTHER THAN DEVELOPMENT. ______________________________________________ WHEREAS, the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority (FKAA) has begun billing water base charges for all properties having an FKAA water meter, including undeveloped properties for which there is no associated water consumption; and WHEREAS, in order to avoid paying said water base charges, the property owner must request FKAA to remove the water meter and abandon the tap, which FKAA will do at no charge; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MONROE COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN LAND AUTHORITY: Section 1. The Executive Director is hereby authorized to request FKAA to remove the water meter and abandon the tap for any Land Authority properties where the purpose or means of acquisition, the applicable development regulations, or the existing use indicate the properties will not be developed. Such properties shall consist primarily of, but are not limited to, lands acquired for conservation, lands acquired for the protection of private property rights, lands consisting of wetlands, and lands designated Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3-A. Section 2. The Executive Director and the Land Authority’s Attorney shall each have the authority to execute documents required by FKAA in order to implement this resolution.
