BPK Community Park Flood Panel Mitigation TASK ORDER FOR PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE BIG PINE KEY COMMUNITY CENTER FLOOD PANEL MITIGATION In accordance with the Continuing Contract for Professional Architectural and Engineering Services, made and entered on December 19, 2018, between MONROE COUNTY, hereinafter referred to as the "County" and M.C. HARRY AND ASSOCIATES, INC. hereinafter referred to as "Consultant", where professional services are allowed if construction costs do not exceed $4,000,000.00, or for study activity if the fee for professional services for each individual study under the contract does not exceed $500,000.00 ("Agreement"), as provided in Subsection 287.055(2)(g), Florida Statutes, as amended by Section 2, Chapter 2020-127, Laws of Florida, pursuant to which Attachment A, Subsection 1.01 of the Agreement is hereby modified,the parties enter into this Task Order. All terms and conditions of the Agreement apply to this Task Order, unless this Task Order amends, adds, or modifies a provision or an Article of the Agreement of which will be specifically referenced in this Task Order and the amendment, addition, or modification shall be precisely described. These additions apply only to the project referenced in this Task Order. This Task Order is effective on the 8th day of June 2022. WHEREAS, the Big Pine Key Community Center building located at the Big Pine Community Park was damaged during Hurricane Irma and requires hazard mitigation to prevent future damage; and WHEREAS, the Consultant is qualified and able to perform engineering design services for the addition of flood panels to the Big Pine Community Center building. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants set forth below, the parties agree as follows: 1. In accordance with Article II, SCOPE OF BASIC SERVICES of the Agreement, the Consultant will provide design services through construction administration for the installation of flood panels at thirteen(13) openings at the Big Pine Key Community Center building located at the Big Pine Community Park as noted in the attached Exhibit A. Services provided shall include: • Field Verification and Documentation o One site visit to verify scope and document existing conditions o CAD base drawings o Meeting with County staff to verify project expectations Page 1 of 4 • Design Development o Provide design documents including site plan, floor plan, building elevations, details, and specifications. o Provide preliminary construction cost estimate. o Submit drawings for review by County and coordinate review conference call with County staff. • Construction Documents o Develop design documents to include County staff comments. Documents shall include site plan, floor plan, building elevations, details, and specifications. o Develop construction cost estimate. o Submit 90% drawings for final review and incorporate County comments. o Submit final 100% drawings for final approval by County. • Permitting o Submit signed and sealed documents to County for submission to building department. o Respond to permit comments. • Bidding o Respond to bidding RFIs, assist with Addenda, and analyze alternate and/or substitution requests. • Construction Contract Administration o Review shop drawings/submittals. o Review and approve pay applications. o Conduct final site visit to determine substantial completion. o Review/process close-out documents. 2. In accordance with Article VII paragraph 7.1.1 of the Agreement, the County shall pay the Consultant a Not-To-Exceed Amount of Forty Thousand, Two Hundred, Thirty-One and 00/100 dollars ($40,231.00)paid on a percent complete basis for the following phases: a. Field Verification & Documentation Phase - $6,392.00 lump sum upon site visit and approval by the Director of Project Management. b. Design Development Phase - $4,762.00 lump sum upon document review and approval by the Director of Project Management. c. Construction Documents Phase - $6,758.00 lump sum upon document review and approval by the Director of Project Management. d. Permitting Phase- $2,268.00 lump sum upon receipt of permit and approval by the Director of Project Management. e. Bidding Phase - $2,390.00 lump sum upon issuance of notice to award a contract and approval by the Director of Project Management. f. Construction Contract Administration Phase - $9,571.00 lump sum upon completion of construction and approval by the Director of Project Management. Page 2 of 4 g. Topographic Survey & Elevation Certificate - $7,590.00 lump sum upon completion and receipt of stamped survey and elevation certificate and approval by the Director of Project Management. h. Reimbursable Expenses - $500.00 Not-To-Exceed upon pre-approval by Monroe County Staff, receipt of backup documentation, and approval by the Director of Project Management. All other Terms and Conditions of the Agreement remain unchanged and in full force and effect.
