EMPLOYEE SERVICE AWARD —THIRD QUARTER 2013
BRANDON BERTINI, EMERGENCY SERVICES DIVISION, FIRE RESCUE
Since joining Monroe County Fire Rescue in April of 2011, Firefighter EMT, Brandon
Bertini, has continued to develop in his leadership skills and has shown noteworthy
performance above and beyond his job expectations.
Firefigher Bertini has demonstrated outstanding community activity and commitment that
meets the criteria of this award. His efforts in coordinating, organizing, and participating
with the "Relay for Life" event held in Key West has provided a positive impact on the
Fire Rescue Department and the community.
In addition, Firefighter Bertini was responsible for successfully organizing and
participating in a car wash to help raise funds for the cancer foundation. Firefighter
Bertini performed most of these efforts on his own time in order to benefit the
community he lives in, and the Fire Rescue Department. The group of Monroe County
Firefighters he assembled was very successful in providing a favorable outcome for the
community by raising $3,216 for the fight against cancer.
Firefighter Bertini always displays a friendly, positive, and enthusiastic attitude that sets a
positive tone for our work environment. His work ethic and community service
involvement is greatly appreciated not only by his superiors, but his peers. Firefighter
Bertini is a true asset to the county and the Monroe County Fire Rescue Department.
