NATIONAL CHILDREN'S MEMORIAL DAY
WHEREAS, there can be no greater loss to a family than that of a
child's passing; and
WHEREAS, the memorial remembrance of the life of that child,
provides some small solace to the family; and
WHEREAS, the second Sunday of December of each year has
been designated by the Congress of the United States as National
Children's Memorial Day;
NOW THEREFORE, by virtue of the power vested in me as
Mayor of Monroe County, Florida; I, David Rice, do hereby
proclaim Sunday, December 9, 2012
NATIONAL CHILDREN'S MEMORIAL DAY
