The Jail In-house program provides Substance use treatment services to approximately
125 inmates per year in the Monroe County Jail. Other potential sources of revenue will
cover less than 50%of the full cost of the program. Reducing staff is not an option. The
reduction in funding would require closing of this County program,

sources of revenue will cover the rest of the costs--occupancy, supplies, etc.

the budget meeting. As he said at the meeting, it was going into micromanaging rather than
policy setting.
He asked me to request from you some data figures so he is prepared for the expected calls from

For the eleven career firefighters you recommended to be at our best service capacity:
1. What is the increase in millage rate required for those 11 positions?
2. What is the percentage of that increase in millage?
3. What would the tax increase be on a$300,000 home(median price)for those 11 positions?
