ITEM BACKGROUND: Joey Naples was a local icon in the Upper Keys, who recently passed
away after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was a popular radio personality with Clear
Channel Media and then with Florida Keys Media family since 2014. He was the master of
ceremonies at the Oceanview Inn and Sports Pub "Jam Night" since its inception. In 2017, during
Hurricane Irma, he spent 70 hours in the studio on the air, on generator power as a calm voice over
the radio during the emergency. August 16, 2022 was his birthday to honor him with this declaration
