ITEM BACKGROUND: Joey Naples was a local icon in the Upper Keys, who recently passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was a popular radio personality with Clear Channel Media and then with Florida Keys Media family since 2014. He was the master of ceremonies at the Oceanview Inn and Sports Pub "Jam Night" since its inception. In 2017, during Hurricane Irma, he spent 70 hours in the studio on the air, on generator power as a calm voice over the radio during the emergency. August 16, 2022 was his birthday to honor him with this declaration of recognition.
