FOR MONROE COUNTY DETENTION CENTER WINDOW REPLACEMENT In accordance with the Agreement for Professional Architectural and Engineering Services, made and entered into on December 19, 2018 between MONROE COUNTY, ("County") and Bender& Associates Architects,P.A. ("Consultant"),where professional services are allowed if construction costs do not exceed$4,000,000.00, or for study activity if the fee for professional services for each individual study under the contract does not exceed $500,000.00 ("Agreement"), as provided in Subsection 287.055(2)(g), Florida Statutes, as amended by Section 2, Chapter 2020-127, Laws of Florida, pursuant to which Attachment A, Subsection 1.01 of the Agreement is hereby modified, the parties enter into this Task Order. All terms and conditions of the Agreement apply to this Task Order, unless this Task Order amends, adds, or modifies a provision or an Article of the Agreement of which will be specifically referenced in this Task Order and the amendment, addition, or modification shall be precisely described. These additions apply only to the project referenced in this Task Order. This Task Order is effective on the 21"of September 2022. WHEREAS, the Monroe County Detention Center is nearly 30 years old and some of its steel windows have become badly deteriorated, and WHEREAS, the County therefore desires to replace a series of windows located at the first-floor level (first elevated floor) located along the west wall of Zone A of the Detention Center with windows designed to withstand 200 MPH wind loads and which possess Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Building Code certifications, and WHEREAS,the design of the window replacement will be part of a comprehensive assessment of the building to assure it is resistant to windstorm damage. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants set forth below, the parties agree as follows: 1. In accordance with Article II, SCOPE OF BASIC SERVICES of the Agreement, the Consultant will complete construction drawings for 36 existing windows at MCSO Detention Center. Services provided shall include: • Field measurement of the existing building 1 • A set of Construction Drawings and Technical Specifications,with as many signed and sealed hard copies and PDFs as required for permitting. • Permitting assistance including the City of Key West Building Department • Bidding support services, including pre-bid meetings and Addendums. • Construction Administration services, including weekly jobsite meetings, Information Bulletins, Payment Application approval, and closeout documents. 2. In accordance with Article VII paragraph 7.1.1 of the Agreement,the County shall pay the Consultant a lump sum total of Fifty-Three Thousand, Seven Hundred, Five and 00/100 dollars ($53,705.00)paid on a percent complete basis for the following phases: a. Existing Conditions and Schematic Design - $8,145.00 upon completion of the phase, document review and approval by the Director of Project Management b. 65% Construction Documents - $ 14,593.00 upon document review and approval by the Director of Project Management c. 100% Construction Documents - $ 15,906.00 upon document review and approval by the Director of Project Management d. Bidding Phase - $ 3,488.00 upon completion e. Construction Phase Services - $11,073.00 upon completion f. Reimbursable expenses - $500.00 All other Terms and Conditions of the Agreement remain unchanged and in full forces and effect.
