Boca Chica Road Hurricane Irma Repairs Project: • Construction started June 22nd consisting of removing existing rip-rap to make way for sheet piling for sea wall. • Staff met onsite with FDEM representative after Hurricane Ian to inspect and document additional damage due to Hurricane Ian. • Staff has requested a change order estimate for extra work required due to damage from Hurricane Ian. Card Sound Road Mill/resurface/restriping: • Staff requested that FDOT program SCOP grant funds in the amount of$2,419,722 (75% 0 of construction phase estimate) in its work program in fiscal year 2023 to partially fund W construction and CEL 21 • Consultant submitted draft 100%plans to county and FDOT and is responding to comments. 2 • Staff requested cost proposal from on call consultant for CEI services. • Staff is preparing Project Manual and Advertising Documentation to prepare for bidding. Hurricane Irma No Name Key Bridge Repairs: • No change in status Key Deer Boulevard Roadway Repairs: • Consultant staff is finalizing 100% construction plans for repairs to three areas of Key Deer Boulevard. Staff is preparing project manual and contract documents to advertise for construction bids. FDOT Local Agency Program (LAP) Re-certification • Staff has begun process to renew LAP certification with FDOT, which is required every three years; 5 Packet Pg. 3587 Q.1.a • Certification process confirms county staff is knowledgeable and can comply with federal requirements necessary to obtain grant funds through Federal Highway Authority (FHWA). Crane Boulevard, Sugarloaf Shared Use Path: • No significant change, in summary: • In response to requests from residents for sidewalk on Crane Boulevard staff submitted a grant application to the FDOT Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) for engineering design and permitting costs to fund the project. If awarded, funds would be programmed in the FDOT work program in FY 28. • A notice of grant award was received on May 131h; design funds were programmed in FDOT FY 2024 • Staff will begin working on Draft RFQ in early 2023; staff will also prepare a grant application for the construction phase of the path to be submitted in the 2023 grant cycle.
