A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 364-1992 AND
ANY OTHER PREVIOUS FEE SCHEDULES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH,
AND AMENDING THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT FEE SCHEDULE. TO
INCLUDE APPLICATION FEES FOR DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENTS

WHEREAS, the Monroe County Board of County Commissio~;WiShCCs ~
to provide citizens of the County with the best possible service in th~t cli>t ::0
effective and reasonable manner; and, :.,:-i?; co ~

WHEREAS, Section 9,5-102 of the Monroe County Land Developm""t 0
Regulations allows the County to enter into development agreements with other
parties; and,
WHEREAS, the processing of development agreements requires
expenditure of labor and other direct expenses by Growth Management Division
personnel and the County Land Use Attorney; and
WHEREAS, the County has borne the entire costs for advertising and
noticing of the two public hearings required by Section 9,5-102 (3) of the Monroe
County Land Development Regulations; and,
WHEREAS, the existing Planning Department Fee Schedule has no fee
provisions for development agreements; and,
WHEREAS, as indicated in Attachment 1, the Director of Planning has
demonstrated that the costs of processing development agreements are
$2,020,00 plus $350 for advertising and $50 per property owner to be notified;
and,
WHEREAS, we concur with the conclusions and findings of the Planning
Director and adopt them as our own; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT

The fee schedule established by Resolution No. 364-1992 is hereby
amended to include the following:
Development Agreement
$2,020.00 plus $175 advertising
fee per public hearing (minimum
two required) and $25 notification
fee per hearing for each property
owner within 300 feet.
The new fee shall become effective immediately upon passage of this
resolution.
