RESOLUTION NO. 254 -1997
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA ENDORSING THE APPLICATION OF THE
MARATHON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL TO PARTICIPATE IN
THE FLORIDA MAIN STREET PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Florida Main Street Program (Program) has been created to assist Florida
communities in developing public-private efforts to revitalize their" Main Street" areas, and"

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, that:

The County hereby endorses submissions by the Marglhon Eco~ic
Development Council of an application to participate in the Program with the specific goal of
revitalization within the context of the Main Street Approach,
Section 2,
The County agrees to support that local Main Street Program and
participate in its activities.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida
at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 16th day of July ,1997.
