The original construction start date for the project occurred at the beginning of the busy season for the Key West Lighthouse attraction and would have had a detrimental impact on revenue expected during this timeframe. As such, while the Notice to Proceed will remain September 13, 2022, to accommodate preconstruction activities and submittals, the Contractor and KWAHS have mutually agreed to push the construction mobilization date back to April 10, 2023, without any increase to the construction budget. The Contractor was contractually granted 120 days to complete construction. Therefore, the substantial completion date will be moved from January 10, 2023, to August 7, 2023. This delayed mobilization allows time for project completion prior to the TDC grant expiration date of September 30, 2023. Change order is 0%of original contract price.
