Hendrick, County Attorney RESOLUTION NO. 289 -1997 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ATTORNEY TO ACT AS THE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE BOARD UPON THE CIRCUIT CONFLICT COMMITTEE, PURSUANT TO SECTION 925.037(3), FLORIDA STATUTES. WHEREAS, Sec. 925.037(3) mandates that a circuit conflict committee be established for each judicial circuit, and that the same shall be responsible for selection and approval of attorneys for all criminal cases wherein a special ~ublic de~f nder1s c 0 - Z l.. r- appointment is dictated, pursuant to Sec. 27.53(3) and Sec. 925.0~<"6~ida~tatue; ,.,., ~ -<. trI .." C;. r- 0 and g:?~ ~ ~ z?=c :;v WHEREAS, the Board recognizes a need to appoint suetps.peci~ pu~c ..,., -.~' .. c - . - 7J defenders to assist in maintaining criminal fee and cost controls throughout thert:ounTy; and WHEREAS, Sec. 925.037(3) states that the conflict committee shall, inter alia, include a representative of the board of county commissioners within the judicial circuit; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County wishes to appoint the County Attorney as its representative on said committee; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: That the Board hereby appoints the County Attorney as its representative to sit upon the aforesaid circuit conflict committee, pursuant to Sec. 925.037(3), Florida Statutes. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 19th day of August, 1997.
