A RESOLUTION IN RECOGN~TION OF
THE LATE ANTHONY F. NILES
WHEREAS, Anthony J. Niles, affectionately known as "Tony,"
passed away at the age of 64; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Wilhelmina G. Harvey taught "Tony" at Sunday
School at St. Paul's Episcopal Church as a child and young man; and
WHEREAS, as he grew his consideration of other people
continued to grow as well to the extent that as a member of the
Demolay's and Mason's, he performed outstanding feats.
WHEREAS, "Tony" graduated from Key West High School in 1953,
and served in the U.S. Army for two years; and
WHEREAS, "Tony" worked for City Electric System, retiring in
1998, and was an active member of the Masonic Fraternity, the
Scottish Rite, the York Rite, Shrine and Demolay; and
WHEREAS, "Tony" leaves behind many family members and friends
to cherish his memory,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA
Section 1. The Board hereby adopts this Resolution as
evidence of its regret and mourning for the passing of the late
Anthony F. Niles.
Section 2. The board hereby requests the Clerk to forward
copies of this Resolution to his beloved family to express the
Board's sorrow.
