departments, administration and operation of the County and make recommendations pertaining
County Administrator
thereto for reorganization by the County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, the County Administrator has recommended that the responsibility for the function
of the County Airports be transferred to the County Administrator, to improve administrative efficiency
and accountability by eliminating an intermediate supervisory level; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has reviewed the recommendation and have
determined that it is in the best interests of the County to implement the recommendation; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Section 1.
The responsibility for the function of the County airports is hereby transferred
from the Division of Community Services to the Office of the County Administrator.
Section 2.
This Resolution supersedes and replaces all prior resolutions or portions thereof.
concerned with, or touching upon, the assignment of County airport responsibilities and functions
within County government.
