DATE: July 28, 1997 At the July 16, 1997 County Commission Meeting, the Board granted approval and authorized execution of a Memorandum of Understanding between l\fonroe County and the Florida Department of Community Affairs, Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and Florida Department of Health (DOH), to document the individual and collective responsibilities of the above parties to implement a coordinated review process regarding wastewater disposal pennits and development permits for new residential development in the Florida Keys as required under Administration Commission Rule No. 28-20.100, Comprehensive Plan Part 11(34), Policy 101.2.13,and as directed in Executive Order Number 96-108. This document will serve as an Interim Permit Allocation System for new residential development. I have enclosed three fully executed copies of the above MOU for return to DCA, DEP and DOH.
