OF THE LATE EULALlE M. JONES WHEREAS, Eulalie M. Jones, passed away on June 16, 1999, at the age of 94; and WHEREAS, Eulalie M. Jones was an honored and respected school teacher of Monroe County; and WHEREAS, Eulalie M. Jones was one of the "old" Monroe County School Teachers, and Mayor Harvey states, "Eulalie was an advisor to me on many projects I was involved in during the 8 years I was on the school board. Eulalie helped me immeasurably and she was such a wonderful educator"; and WHEREAS, Eulalie M. Jones exemplified the ideals of public service. She taught second grade for 25 years before retiring. After two years she returned to teaching citing," I miss the children and they need me." She taught for another 11 ~ years, for a total of 36 years of service to the children of Monroe County; and WHEREAS, Eulalie M. Jones leaves her loving family members and many, many friends to cherish her memory; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Board hereby adopts this Resolution as evidence of its regret and mourning for the passing of the late Eulalie M. Jones, a great and warm-hearted woman. Section 2. The Board hereby requests the Mayor to forward copies of this Resolution to her beloved family to express the Board's sorrow.
